Heart Rhythm Meditation
When

Compassion, Cooperation, Confidence and Courage flows steadily from
your heart’s center.
Heart Rhythm Meditation
(HRM); a simple, yet powerful “authentic method
for healing your emotional and spiritual heart and improving your
physical health” (Dr. Katherine Burleson). HRM is based on harmonizing
your breath and heartbeat.
Main key to
this practice is:
- The heart is the focus
~ unconditional love is its true nature; the heart is a multi-layered
center. Puran and Susanna Bair have developed HRM for
contemporary applied meditation to help heal individual hearts and the
heart of humanity. Four dimensions of the heart hold the keys to
develop the qualities we most need at this time; such as tolerance,
compassion, sensitivity . . .
Three basic
aspects of the heart are:
- The heart is a
physical structure, which circulates the blood to the body,
produces
hormones, and beats a rhythm that regulates the rest of the body
throughout one’s life.
- The heart is the
center of your energetic system ~ a magnetism and light flows
through
this system that powers your heart and body and connects you to all
other heart energies. Your heart serves as the foundation for your
emotions, and enlightens your mind. This is the “energetic-emotional
heart.”
- Heart is the core of
self. Your inner source, connected to Infinite. Your heart is
the
ultimate center of who you really are and all you
become.
HRM begins
with breath.
Breath is the stream of life. Your breath allows you to energize your
heart. By energizing your heart transformation becomes possible. In
fact, you can actually reshape your energetic-emotional heart by moving
energy in your body. This begins with the breath. Basic HRM is
harmonizing your breath and your heartbeat.
As breath “touches your heart a wellspring of
emotion results that empowers kind, noble, creative, and courageous
behavior that can truly be called living from the heart. (Energize Your
Heart).
Puran and Susanna Bair have written two books on
HRM to date: Living From the Heart and Energize Your Heart. The Bairs
are located in Tucson, Arizona and are currently working on a third
book.
As a
HRM instructor
I have completed Instructor Level I Training Spring 2008 and am
continuing intensive study and practice in the mentorship program. Over
the last three decades I have practiced an integrated form of
meditation and teach meditation and guided visualization. The Healing
Tao System has been central to my teachings.
